I'm a facilitator and executive coach to people-first leaders who seek to create alignment for themselves and their organizations. I have twenty years of experience in business and over a decade in developing People Programs and Strategy.
My pronouns are she/her.
I'm based in San Francisco, CA.
My professional mission is to build organizations that enable their people (employees, managers, leaders, stakeholders) to do their best work together and to live fulfilling, integrated lives. I do this by helping business leaders identify the role they play in the challenges they encounter, navigate those challenges, and design systems in which they and their people can thrive.
The experiences I have had over the last two decades have all contributed to this mission:
The path that brought me here was winding. In addition to the above, it included several tiny tech startups, a treasured craft brewery (Boston Beer), a beloved Hollywood studio (Disney), a couple of social networks (Facebook, LinkedIn), and a global management consulting firm (Bain). The common thread that runs through all these organizations is their consciously formed culture — each distinct, and each rich in its own way.
I was educated at Cornell University where I earned my BA, summa cum laude, and at Stanford, where I earned my MBA. I work out of my home office in San Francisco, CA, in a sunny neighborhood with plenty of trees and coffee shops. I live with my wife, our son, and our cat, and enjoy tinkering, learning — and subsequently forgetting — languages, writing, and driving stick.
I’ve included my personal values below because they provide a window onto how I strive to live and work. They guide my behaviors and my behaviors guide them: my gravitation toward connection is evocative of orca pods; my (sometimes reticent) recognition of the messiness and inevitability of change can be summed up by the (messy, gooey) chrysalis stage that precedes the birth of a butterfly; my urge to accept and embrace each human I meet is inspired by those very humans (we have made a real mess of a lot of things, but there is still so much to cherish and encourage in each of us).
